About Us

Our mission is to expose, promote interest and educate veterinary students to the field of shelter medicine. We hope to impart on our members a knowledge of the issues and the role they as future veterinarians can play to improve animal welfare. We hope to educate about all aspects of shelter medicine, including TNR, neonates, spay/neuter, etc. The goal of the our TNR Committee is to assist ADLA and members of the community with trapping outdoor cats in order to get them spayed/neutered as a method to control the population. Other goals include educating the community about TNR and co-existing with outdoor cats, collecting food donations for a TNR food pantry and assisting ADLA by writing grant proposals in order to raise funds for more TNR aid and supplies.
