NSSHLA is petitioning to hold its traditional 11th annual Stroke and Aphasia Awareness Night in the 2026 Fall Quarter. The purpose of this event is to educate the community regarding aphasia, stroke and types of strokes, and the impact on individuals with aphasia and their loved ones. This event provides awareness and suggestions to clients, families, friends, student clinicians, and individuals from other disciplines in the community and at Midwestern University. This event will allow individuals with aphasia, and their loved ones, to share personal stories and how living with aphasia affects their lives.
